Hard work and excellent customer service were instilled in Leonie at a very young age.


Born in Bendigo to dutch parents, Leonie and her three siblings spent their early childhood helping out in the family service station under their parents strict guidelines.


She attended both Holy Rosary and St. Killians primary schools before completing her education at the former St Mary's College, (now CCB).


Leonie spent her weekends at Lake Eppalock honing her water skiing skills in preparation for Australia-wide racing competitions.


After school, Leonie briefly tried her hand as a clerical assistant at a local dental surgery before joining Win Patten Real Estate as a girl Friday.


She quickly embraced the industry and gained valuable experience providing her with the confidence to purchase her first home and obtain a full license before her 21st birthday.


45 years later she is still in the real estate industry and just as passionate about the Bendigo market.


She knows the local market intimately having built or renovated about 15 homes in and around Bendigo. Her extensive knowledge and experience covers all areas of the market with a focus on higher-end properties.


In her spare time, Leonie enjoys spending time with her partner Ken at his farm in Elmore or with her daughter Alex, who is a family lawyer in Melbourne. Her other passion is travel – if she's not at work, she's tripping around the globe somewhere recharging her batteries.

After getting to know us and what we were looking for, in 1996 Leonie helped us find and purchase our first family home. We have been extremely happy at our home, but earlier this year, decided a change of scenery was for us. With so many memories, the decision to list our home was a difficult one. The decision who to list our home with was easy – it was Leonie. Leonie understood that we have a strong connection to our home and provided us with a great deal of information around listing price, marketing and how to present our home for sale. We listened and did our best to do our part to ensure a successful sale. The day after our home was listed on the internet, a daily procession of potential buyers followed and after three days an offer.
